Job Summary:
We are looking for a Professional Chef with proven expertise in Continental, Nigerian, African, Asian Fusion cuisines, and Pastry arts. The ideal candidate will be innovative, quality-driven, and experienced in managing kitchen operations, menu development, and culinary team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare high-quality, authentic, and flavorful dishes from Continental, Nigerian, African, and Asian Fusion cuisines.
- Lead the preparation and presentation of pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
- Develop and innovate seasonal and thematic menus across all cuisine categories.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation across all meals.
- Oversee kitchen operations including food preparation, hygiene, inventory, and waste management.
- Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high culinary standards.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization in all kitchen areas in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with management and service staff to ensure guest satisfaction and seamless dining experiences.
- Manage food cost controls and contribute to budget planning and procurement.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Chef in a reputable kitchen setting or hospitality brand.
- Specialized training or certification in Culinary Arts (Diploma or Degree preferred).
- Mastery in at least 3 of the listed cuisines: Continental, Nigerian, African, Asian Fusion, plus strong pastry skills.
- Excellent palate and ability to balance traditional flavors with modern culinary techniques.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and time-management skills.
- Passion for culinary excellence and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of kitchen safety, sanitation, and food handling standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in menu development and food cost control.
- International culinary exposure or experience working with multicultural teams.
- Ability to innovate and incorporate local and international food trends.
