Grants and Fundraising officer

About role

We are looking for a Grants and Fundraising officer who will be responsible for identifying, researching, and securing grant and funding opportunities to support our organizations mission and objectives. The successful candidate will have a keen understanding of grant application processes, excellent research skills, and a proven track record of successful grant acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify potential grant and funding opportunities from various sources, including government agencies, foundations, and private donors.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of our organizations funding needs and priorities.
• Prepare and submit grant proposals and applications in accordance with funder guidelines and deadlines.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary information and data for grant applications.
• Manage and maintain a database of grant opportunities, application deadlines, and reporting requirements.
• Cultivate relationships with funders and stakeholders to enhance funding prospects and opportunities.
• Monitor and track grant awards, reporting requirements, and compliance obligations.
• Stay informed about trends and developments in the grant funding landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a relevant field (such as Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field).
• Proven experience in Opportunity research, grant writing, grant management, or fundraising, preferably in a nonprofit or similar setting.
• Strong research skills and ability to effectively gather and analyze information from diverse sources.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with grant management software or databases is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₦100,000.00 - ₦150,000.00 per month
