Platform and Device Testing Analyst

Mission/ Core purpose of the Job: Ensures seamless integration and user experience across all devices and platforms by conducting thorough testing in both pre-launch and post-launch phases to guarantee optimal service delivery and customer satisfaction through meticulous quality assurance practices. Conduct comprehensive testing and analysis of platforms and devices to identify and resolve technical issues, optimize performance, and inform product development decisions. Designing, executing, and maintaining test cases, identifying issues, and collaborating with development teams to improve overall product performance.

Job Responsibilities

• Apply research skill to accomplish business objectives: analyze data, search for trends, develop key findings, conclusions and indicated actions from qualitative/quantitative consumer and customer research
• Ensuring efficient internal processes, particularly in optimizing testing cycles, managing device lifecycles, and ensuring that testing schedules align with overall project timelines.
• Works closely with internal teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and product managers, to ensure that device requirements are properly tested and aligned with product goals.
• Continuous evaluation and refinement of testing processes and methodologies are vital for keeping up with new device models, features, and operating environments.

Specific Duties Based on Units within Division:

• · Collaborate with software developers to perform integration tests, ensuring that various modules work together seamlessly on the platforms and devices.
• · Conduct regression testing after updates or new features are added to ensure that existing functionalities are not negatively impacted.
• · Develop comprehensive test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements to ensure thorough testing of both platforms and devices.
• · Work with the QA team to design and implement automated tests for platforms and devices, reducing manual testing time and improving efficiency.
• · Collaborate with the UX team to conduct usability tests on platforms and devices, ensuring the user interface is intuitive, responsive, and aligned with customer expectations.
• · Analyze user feedback from testing to identify pain points or areas for improvement, communicating these insights to the team for refinement.
• · Ensure that devices and platforms perform well in different network conditions (e.g., 4G/5G, Wi-Fi, etc.) and that they maintain stable connectivity.
• · Work with the network and infrastructure team to test how platforms handle various load scenarios, including stress and load testing.
• · Assist the customer support team in replicating customer-reported issues on devices and platforms for a quicker resolution.
• · Conduct tests to ensure platforms and devices comply with industry regulations, such as GDPR, PCI DSS, or telecom-specific standards.
• · Ensure that all device and platform testing is completed prior to major product launches or marketing campaigns, reducing the risk of issues that could affect customer experience or brand reputation.
• · Ensure that the device and platform testing process does not compromise sensitive customer data and adheres to the companys data privacy policies.
• · Verify that encryption protocols, user authentication, and other security features perform as expected across devices and platforms.
• Performs any other duties assigned

Education:·

First degree in any related discipline

· Fluent in English

. Good understanding of the GSM Network systems architecture and telecommunications standards

Experience:

· 2-5 years of hands-on experience in platform and device testing, preferably in a telecommunications, software, or consumer electronics environment.

· Experience with both manual and automated testing techniques to ensure comprehensive coverage of platforms and devices.

· Exposure to device testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Appium, or Test Complete, particularly for mobile and IoT devices.

· Experience working on mobile platforms, mobile apps, or telecommunications devices is highly desirable.

· Experience in working within Agile/Scrum development processes.

· Experience in interpreting customer feedback and data to inform testing strategies.

· Experience in testing for security vulnerabilities and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

Experience in Problem Solving and Analytical Skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₦250,000.00 per month
