Job Description/Requirements Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Land Surveyor to join our real estate development team in Lagos. The Land Surveyor will play a pivotal role in conducting land surveys, ensuring accurate layouts, verifying property boundaries, and overseeing land allocation processes. This role requires strong collaboration with the Town Planner and other stakeholders to support estate planning, ensure compliance with layouts, and conduct due diligence for land acquisitions. The Land Surveyor will also manage records of assets and provide regular updates on project status. Key Responsibilities: 1. Land Surveying and Layout Design: Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction surveys for real estate projects. Collaborate with the Town Planner to create effective layout designs for sites and housing projects. Ensure the setting out of layout designs is accurately implemented on-site and monitor compliance. 2. Allocation Management: Act as the primary officer for land and housing allocation, ensuring accurate measurements and records. Oversee the allocation process to confirm plot sizes and designs conform to agreements. Ensure timely and proper documentation for all allocated plots and housing projects. 3. Site Inspections and Reporting: Attend site inspections to explain land status and provide updates on ongoing developments. Monitor adherence to survey specifications and report on project progress. Submit weekly and monthly reports on land-related activities and estate updates. 4. Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence for all land acquisitions and transactions. Verify land titles, property boundaries, and other critical factors to minimize risks. 5. Asset Management: Maintain and update records of land and housing assets, including availability and allocations. Track and report opening and closing stock of available plots and housing units. 6. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all survey work complies with land laws and industry standards. Manage survey-related documentation, ensuring accuracy and security. 7. Inspection and Monitoring: Monitor site activities to confirm adherence to approved plans and layout designs. Ensure that all construction and development work aligns with allocated boundaries. 8. Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with government agencies, property owners, and project stakeholders for approvals and conflict resolution. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals on project implementation. Qualifications :
  • Bachelors degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
  • Certification from the Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON) is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying, preferably in real estate development.
  • Proficiency in survey equipment (GPS, Total Station, drones, etc.) and software (AutoCAD, GIS, etc.).
Skills and Competencies: - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of Lagos State land laws and surveying regulations.
