Job Title: Account Officer & Personal Assistant to the Managing Director
About the Role:Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to support the Managing Director with administrative, accounting, and secretariat duties. This dual role requires excellent command over accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks), strong organizational skills, and the ability to prepare and manage various financial reports and schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Reporting:
- Manage invoices, receipts, ledgers, and purchase orders.
- Prepare management accounts, monthly VAT, and WHT reports, with submissions by the 10th-15th of each month.
- Process bank payments for VAT, WHT, PAYE, and Pension, ensuring deadlines are me
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct weekly analysis of bank inflows (commission, premiums, etc.) and outflows (admin expenses, payables, etc.).
- Report on investment income and update the MD on investment positions daily, including monthly interest report post-liquidation.
Administrative & Secretarial Duties:
- Maintain and file accounting documents, and update the petty cash expenses schedule daily.
- Prepare a production report on commissions, renewals, and new business every Friday.
- Post company and client transactions on accounting software and manage cheque processing as requested.
- Follow up on investment certificates and coordinate underwriters payments per MDs instructions.
General Support:
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Managing Director.
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years experience in an accounting or related role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (or similar software) and strong financial analysis skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multi-tasking abilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₦2,200,000.00 per year
