Hotel Accountant

Job Title: Hotel AccountantLocation: Ago Palace Way, Okota, Lagos MainlandReports To: General Manager / Assistant General Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Hotel Accountant to manage financial transactions and ensure the hotels financial integrity. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and performing financial analysis to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting:
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for review by the General Manager.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Accounts Management:
• Maintain accurate accounts payable and receivable.
• Reconcile bank accounts and manage cash flow.
• Transaction Recording:
• Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately in the accounting system.
• Track and manage inventory and fixed assets for the hotel.
• Tax & Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare necessary documentation for tax filings.
• Assist in audits and ensure adherence to accounting standards.
• Financial Analysis:
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights for cost control and revenue enhancement.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Educational Background:
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience:
• 2 - 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Technical Skills:
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Analytical Skills:
• Strong ability to analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies.
• Communication:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Salary Scale:

₦120,000 - ₦150,000 (Negotiable based on experience)

Pay: ₦120,000.00 - ₦150,000.00 per month
