You will be embedded in our agile development process and contribute to one or more of the following areas based on your skills and interests:
For Backend-focused:
Contribute to Core Services: Write and debug code for our backend services using Node.js.
API Development: Assist in building and testing new API endpoints that will be consumed by our mobile app.
Database Tasks: Help write and optimize simple queries for our MySQL database.
Learn Cloud Infrastructure: Get exposure to how we deploy and manage our services on AWS.
For Mobile-focused:
Build UI Components: Develop and implement new UI components and screens in our Flutter mobile app, based on designs from our UI/UX team.
Connect to APIs: Write code to fetch data from our backend APIs and display it in the app.
Fix Bugs: Help identify and fix bugs in the mobile app to improve the user experience.
For QA/Testing-focused:
Manual Testing: Perform thorough manual testing of new features before they are released, following detailed test plans.
Bug Reporting: Clearly and accurately document bugs you find in our project management tool (Jira/Zoho Sprints), including steps to reproduce.
Write Test Cases: Assist in writing clear, concise test cases for new and existing features.
Learn Automation: Get exposure to the principles of automated testing and work alongside our QA engineers.
Eligibility: Must be a recent graduate, a current NYSC member, or a university student seeking an Industrial Training (IT) placement in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
Solid Foundational Knowledge: You have a good understanding of fundamental computer science concepts (data structures, algorithms).
Programming Experience: You have hands-on experience with at least one programming language.
For Backend: Experience or strong interest in JavaScript/Node.js is a huge plus.
For Mobile: Experience or strong interest in Dart/Flutter is a huge plus.
Problem-Solving Mindset: You are a logical thinker who enjoys breaking down problems and figuring out how things work.
Eagerness to Learn: You are incredibly curious, proactive, and excited to learn from experienced engineers in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to Detail: (Especially for QA) You have a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality.
Familiarity with Git: Basic knowledge of Git for source control is a plus.
Real-World Experience: You will write code that gets shipped and test features that go live to thousands of users. This is not a theoretical exercise; you will build a real portfolio of work.
