Job Title: Cost Estimator / Pricing Analyst (Wood Joinery Factory)

Location: Lagos

Salary Range: ₦300,000 - #400,000

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Cost Estimator / Pricing Analyst to join our wood joinery factory team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in cost estimation within the woodworking or manufacturing industry, with a deep understanding of material costs, labour, and overhead. This role is critical in ensuring accurate project pricing and sustaining profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for joinery products, including raw materials, labour, and machine usage.

Collaborate with production teams to understand manufacturing workflows and identify cost impacts.

Provide accurate breakdowns for custom orders such as cabinetry, doors, and furniture.

Pricing Strategy:

Develop pricing strategies to maintain competitiveness while maximizing profitability.

Work with sales and management to finalize client pricing based on estimates and market factors.

Regularly review and update pricing structures in line with material cost changes.

Material Management:

Liaise with procurement to verify and update material pricing.

Monitor market trends and material cost fluctuations to inform estimates.

Project Management & Reporting:

Generate reports and insights for management, analyzing cost performance against original estimates.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in cost estimation or pricing within woodworking or manufacturing sectors.

Familiarity with joinery processes, wood materials, and fabrication methods.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimation software.

Excellent analytical, mathematical, and communication skills.

Quantity Surveyor (QS) experience in wood joinery is a strong advantage.

Skills:

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.

Effective collaboration and communication with suppliers, internal teams, and clients.
