Job Summary:

The Associate Editor plays a key role in sourcing, curating, and publishing news content for a fast-paced, social media-focused news media brand . This position is ideal for individuals passionate about digital media, audience engagement, and real-time news distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and track trending news across politics, markets, entertainment, and culture.
• Curate and summarize news stories for engaging social media posts (Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, etc.).
• Edit and refine headlines, captions, and visuals for clarity, accuracy, and engagement.
• Assist in scheduling and posting content across all social media platforms.
• Ensure all news content aligns with brand voice and editorial standards.
• Engage with followers, respond to comments, and analyze audience interactions.
• Collaborate with graphic designers and video editors to produce multimedia content.
• Stay updated on social media trends and analytics to maximize content reach.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong writing and editing skills for short-form, engaging content.
• Familiarity with social media platforms, news cycles, and viral content trends.
• Basic knowledge of SEO, hashtags, and digital media best practices.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in global news, politics, markets, or entertainment.
No formal experience required, but previous experience in social media or content creation is a plus.
