ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a results-driven and technically conversant Business Development Coordinator to coordinate the expansion of our market presence, drive growth, and strengthen client relationships. The candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying new opportunities, leading bid processes, and forging partnerships across public and private sectors in line with companys strategic priorities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Brand Manager
- Lead the companys rebranding efforts for developing and maintaining a consistent and compelling brand identity across all customer touchpoints.
- Creatively craft brand strategy, oversee marketing campaigns, ensure alignment with company values, and monitor market trends to strengthen brand recognition and loyalty.
- Develop content for digital marketing and engagement tools that leverage online platforms—such as social media, websites, email campaigns, and SEO—to increase visibility, engagement, and loyalty
- Collaborate with internal teams, analysing customer insights, and managing visual and messaging consistency to help position the brand effectively in the market and drive business growth.
2. Market Intelligence & Opportunity Sourcing
- Identify and evaluate business opportunities in the engineering, environmental, and geo-informatics sectors.
- Track industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging regulatory requirements to shape market entry strategies.
3. Client Acquisition & Relationship Building
- Build and manage a strong network of government agencies, potential and existing clients, development institutions, and external suppliers.
- Lead client engagement efforts—from first contact to closing—and act as a trusted advisor on tailored technical solutions.
- Represent EEMS Limited at industry events, trade shows, and technical seminars.
- Contribute to content marketing initiatives by generating case studies, blog posts, or whitepapers showcasing project success.
4. Strategic Growth & Internal Collaboration
- Support strategic planning, market prioritisation, and the design of growth roadmaps for core service lines.
- Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing and operations teams to ensure solution alignment with client needs and delivery capabilities.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, monitor sales pipeline stages, and prepare weekly business development reports. Contribute to the setting and achievement of revenue targets and business KPIs.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Education & Experience
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, Marketing or related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of business development experience, preferably in consulting, engineering, or environmental services.
- Skills & Competencies
- Strategic thinking and creativity
- Ability to conceptualise compelling campaigns, brand visuals, and content.
- Think outside the box to solve problems or explore new revenue or branding avenues.
- Multitasking, time management, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Managing timelines, deliverables, and team contributions to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Familiarity with tools such as CRM systems, MS Office Suite, and project tracking platforms.
