Head of Engineering

• Minimum Qualification :

SID-Digital is a budding financial services organisation dedicated to providing innovative and secure financial infrastructure for emerging markets. As we continue to expand our product offerings, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Engineering to join our team.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an innovative and strategic Head of Engineering to lead the technology vision of our fintech organisation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all technological developments and ensuring alignment with regulatory frameworks, particularly the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) guidelines. This role requires a dynamic leader who can drive innovation, maintain compliance, and scale technology infrastructure to support SIDDs growth.

Responsibilities:

• Formulate and propose the IT Strategy, Technology compliance, and direction, as well as analyse and reworking existing business processes that would reshape, drive and deliver the Organizations strategic objectives.

• Define and execute the companys technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and CBN regulations.

• Oversee the development of innovative fintech solutions, focusing on secure, scalable, and user-friendly platforms.

• Stay updated on global fintech trends and implement technologies to maintain a competitive edge.

• Ensure all technology processes and platforms comply with CBN guidelines, data protection regulations (NDPR/GDPR), and other relevant standards.

• Collaborate with compliance teams to integrate regulatory requirements into product design and IT infrastructure.

• Oversee the development and maintenance of the companys core technology platforms, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.

• Ensure seamless integration of payment systems, APIs, and other third-party tools with regulatory approval where required.

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing technology team.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Compliance, and Risk Management, to deliver secure and compliant products.

• Represent the company in discussions with regulators and industry stakeholders regarding technology-related matters.

• Drive the adoption of emerging technologies (e.g., blockchain, AI, and machine learning) to enhance financial inclusion and efficiency.

• Oversee the end-to-end development of fintech products, ensuring they meet user needs and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications:

• A University degree in a relevant discipline and a relevant IT certification
• At least 10 years post-qualification experience. 5 years in a Senior Management position and not less than 5 years in IT role
• Understanding of the Business and IT strategy administration
• In-depth knowledge of CBN guidelines, including data protection, cybersecurity, and electronic payment regulations.
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale, secure, and compliant technology solutions.
Expertise in software development, cloud computing, and IT infrastructure management.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong understanding of payment systems, digital banking, and financial APIs.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
