Head of Finance

The Head of Finance is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, strategies, and performance of the organization. This role involves leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and financial standards.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Leadership:

• Develop and implement financial strategies to support the companys growth and profitability.
• Provide expert financial advice to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
Lead long-term financial planning and scenario analysis to align with business objectives.

Financial Planning and Analysis:

• Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
• Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights.
Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for business improvement.

Accounting and Reporting:

• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and presentations.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and other accounting standards.
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to maintain the companys financial stability.

Risk Management and Compliance:

• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate governance requirements.
Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth financial operations.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and engagement.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Work closely with other departments to ensure financial alignment across the organization.

Funding and Investment Management:

• Oversee capital structure, debt management, and funding strategies.
• Evaluate investment opportunities and provide recommendations to maximize returns.
• Maintain strong relationships with banks, investors, and financial institutions.
• Technology and Systems Optimization
• Utilize financial management software and tools to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Stay updated on emerging financial technologies and trends to drive innovation in financial processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Masters degree or professional qualifications such as CPA, CFA, or ACCA preferred).
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in senior finance roles, including leadership positions.
• Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in financial software (e.g., ODOO, ZoHo, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
