Head of Supply Chain

We are seeking to hire an experienced Head of Supply Chain with a strong background in telecommunication services to develop and implement effective supply chain strategies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in procurement, inventory management, logistics, and vendor relations within the telecom industry.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Execution:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with business goals.
• Monitor industry trends, especially in telecommunications, to mitigate risks and maximize opportunities.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.

Procurement and Vendor Management

• Oversee procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with telecom industry suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.
Establish and enforce quality standards for all sourced materials and services.

Inventory and Demand Management

• Manage inventory levels to optimize cost efficiency and customer service objectives.
• Collaborate with Network Rollout and Network Operations teams to forecast demand and align supply plans.
Implement inventory control measures to prevent overstocking or stockouts.

Logistics and Distribution

• Oversee logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, and distribution.
• Optimize shipping and delivery processes to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics and distribution efficiency.

Leadership and Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team to achieve high performance and engagement.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability across the supply chain function.
Drive cross-functional initiatives with Network Operations, Network Rollout, Finance, and HR teams.

Technology and Data Management

• Utilize supply chain management systems and tools to streamline processes and enhance visibility.
• Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Ensure data accuracy and implement robust reporting mechanisms.

Requirements:

• A Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of supply chain management experience, with a focus on telecommunication services.
• Strong knowledge of telecom supply chain processes, including procurement, logistics, warehousing, and inventory management.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., ODOO, SAP, Oracle, JDA).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build lasting supplier relationships.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
