Job Summary

The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management within the construction company, supporting a productive and compliant work environment across office and project site locations.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the companys business objectives.

•Manage the recruitment and selection process for all levels of staff, including site-based personnel.

•Oversee employee onboarding, training, and development programs, with an emphasis on safety and industry-specific skills

•Administer compensation and benefits programs.

•Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary procedures.

•Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations in Nigeria, including those specific to the construction industry.

•Develop and update HR policies and procedures.

•Manage performance appraisal systems.

•Oversee HR information systems and maintain accurate employee records.

•Support workforce planning and succession planning.

•Collaborate with management on HR-related issues and initiatives.

•Champion a positive and safe work culture.

Qualifications

•Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

•A Masters degree in Human Resources or a related field is an added advantage.

Experience

•Minimum of 5 years of progressive managerial experience in Human Resources, preferably within the construction or related industry

Certifications

•Must be a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM Nigeria) OR

•Hold a SHRM certification (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) OR

•Hold a PHR Certification (SPHR or PHRi).

Skills

•Excellent knowledge of Nigerian labor law and HR best practices.

•Strong leadership and management skills.

•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

•Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.

•Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

•Proficiency in HR software and systems.

•Ability to manage HR functions across multiple locations (office and project sites).
