Human Resource Generalist

We are recruiting for a Human Resource Generalist. The Human Resource Generalist will assist in the day-to-day operations of the HR department, ensuring the efficient and smooth functioning of the HR department.

• Coordinate recruitment processes: posting job ads, shortlisting candidates, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new hires.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including attendance, leave, payroll support, and HR databases.
• Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
• Support performance appraisal systems and staff development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
• Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution.
• Organize and facilitate staff training, development programs, and team-building activities.
• Track and report HR metrics, including turnover, absenteeism, and training effectiveness.
• Maintain workplace health and safety standards in collaboration with operations and administrative teams.
• Prepare employee payroll with staff records.
Drive employee training and development, retention strategies, and cultural alignment with Jofez Agros mission.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of HR generalist experience
• Must reside in Anambra State or be willing to relocate.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), HRIS or ERP software.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong conflict resolution and decision-making abilities.
