Internal Auditor

The Internal Auditor is responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of an organizations internal controls, risk management, and governance processes. The role involves conducting audits, identifying areas of inefficiency or risk, and recommending improvements to ensure compliance with policies of accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute internal audit assignments across departments and business units.
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance systems.
• Review financial records, systems, and operations to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with laws and regulations.
• Prepare audit reports with findings, recommendations, and action plans.
• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and the progress report.
• Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of operational processes.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate any irregularities or suspected fraud, and support external auditors as needed.
• Keep up to date with developments in auditing standards, regulations, and best practices.
Provide advisory support to management on risk and control issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (professional certification like ACA, ACCA, or ICAN is compulsory).
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, risk management, and internal control frameworks.
• Analytical and detail-oriented mindset.
