Junior Accounting Officer

Job Summary

Our client is seeking to engage the services of an experienced Accounting Officer who will report to the General Manager to enable the company transition smoothly into their new venture.

The company is a recycling organization, and the potential Accounting Officer will be responsible for the following:

Assist with maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers.

Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice processing and payment reconciliation.

Assist in the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements.

Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts on a regular basis.

Support senior accounting staff in month-end and year-end closing processes.

Perform data entry and maintain documentation in accordance with accounting standards and procedures.

Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience: 2years above

Employment Type: On-site

Salary: 100k-120k(net)

Location: Lagos state (Maryland) and Ogun state (Atan, ota)

Candidates must reside close to the office as accommodation will not be provided

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₦100,000.00 - ₦120,000.00 per month
