We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer to lead the design and analysis of deep foundation systems, including bored piles, driven piles, and sheet piles, soil improvement piles, etc.. for a large-scale road project including bridges and infrastructure. This is a senior-level, design-centric role focused on developing safe, technically robust, and cost-effective foundation solutions in collaboration with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Geotechnical Foundation Design

• Lead the design and optimization of deep foundation systems for bridge structures based on subsurface conditions and structural loads
• Determine pile type, dimensions, spacing, and embedment depth using advanced geotechnical analysis methods
• Review and validate pile load tests and support field engineers with interpretation and design verification

Geotechnical Modelling and Analysis

• Perform settlement analysis, bearing capacity calculations, lateral load assessments, and pile group behavior evaluations
• Use advanced design software including PLAXIS, GEO5, and AutoCAD Civil 3D for geotechnical modeling and documentation
• Address soil-structure interaction and environmental influences such as scour, groundwater fluctuation, and seismic activity

Design Documentation and Compliance

• Prepare complete design reports, technical specifications, and construction-level foundation drawings
• Ensure all designs meet relevant international and local standards, such as AASHTO, Eurocode 7, and national bridge codes
• Participate in technical design reviews, peer coordination, and project milestone submissions

Collaboration and Technical Support

• Work closely with structural and construction engineering teams to ensure geotechnical solutions are fully integrated into bridge designs
• Provide on-site technical support during foundation construction phases to verify adherence to design intent
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to design quality assurance and innovation within the geotechnical team

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in geotechnical design, specifically focused on bridge foundations and piling systems
• Advanced knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles, foundation systems, and soil mechanics
• Strong proficiency in geotechnical analysis and design tools such as PLAXIS, GEO5, and AutoCAD
• Demonstrated success in leading foundation design on large infrastructure or transport projects
• Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to design excellence and safety standards
