Social Media Manager

We are looking for a dynamic and creative Social Media Manager to join our event planning team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our social media presence, promoting upcoming events, and engaging with our audience to build excitement and drive attendance. This role requires a passion for events, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to create compelling content that resonates with our target audience.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Promotion:

  • Develop and execute social media strategies to promote upcoming events, including conferences, weddings, corporate events, and more.
  • Create buzz and anticipation for events through countdowns, teasers, and behind-the-scenes content.

Content Creation & Management:

  • Produce high-quality, engaging content (photos, videos, reels, stories, etc.) showcasing past and upcoming events.
  • Collaborate with photographers, videographers, and designers to create visually stunning content.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and aesthetic across all platforms.

Audience Engagement:

  • Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries from followers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Foster a sense of community by engaging with attendees, sponsors, and partners.

Live Social Media Coverage:

  • Manage live social media coverage during events, including live streams, stories, and real-time updates.
  • Capture and share candid moments to create a sense of FOMO (fear of missing out) for future events.

Analytics & Reporting:

  • Track and analyze social media performance metrics (e.g., engagement, reach, ticket sales, etc.).
  • Provide post-event reports and insights to improve future campaigns.

Influencer & Partner Collaboration:

  • Identify and collaborate with influencers, vendors, and sponsors to amplify event reach.
  • Manage partnerships and co-branded content to maximize exposure.

Trend Monitoring:

  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends, platform updates, and event marketing best practices.
  • Recommend innovative ideas to keep the brand ahead of competitors.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the event planning, marketing, and sales teams to align social media efforts with overall business goals.
  • Coordinate with clients to ensure their event vision is reflected in social media content.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Social Media Manager, preferably in the event planning or hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.).
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Experience with paid social media advertising and analytics tools (e.g., Facebook Ads Manager, Google Analytics).
  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Experience with instagram , TikTok, Youtube.
  • Knowledge of event management software.
  • Familiarity with email marketing and CRM tools.
  • Passion for event planning and a strong understanding of what makes events memorable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₦150,000.00 - ₦180,000.00 per month
