Role Overview: We are looking for a Social Media Manager to lead our online presence across all platforms. This role combines content creation, community engagement, performance tracking, and team collaboration. Youll play a key role in shaping how our audience connects with WetinSup daily.

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media Duties

• Plan and maintain a consistent content calendar for all social platforms.
• Create and publish engaging, platform-specific content that reflects the brands voice.
Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and interactions to keep the community active.

Collaboration & Story Amplification

• Work closely with writers to highlight trending or important stories.
Repurpose and promote editorial content to boost reach and engagement.

Performance & Strategy

• Track growth, engagement, and other key performance metrics.
• Prepare weekly or monthly reports to inform strategy.
• Use data and insights to improve content planning and audience engagement.
Stay current on platform updates, trends, and best practices.

Additional Expectations

• Communicate clearly and professionally within the team.
• Attend and contribute to team meetings consistently.
Bring new tools, ideas, and strategies that enhance the brands online presence.

Requirements:

• 1 - 2 years of experience managing social media for a brand or publication.
• Strong understanding of content creation and platform-specific engagement.
• Familiarity with performance tracking tools and social media analytics.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
A genuine interest in African pop culture and internet trends.
