Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Store Manager to oversee all daily operations of our supermarket. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the store to maximize sales, minimize costs, and deliver excellent customer service. The Store Manager will also be responsible for managing staff, developing business strategies, and ensuring that the store meets its financial objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee receiving orders and stock control
  • Oversee overall store operations and ensure the store meets financial objectives.
  • Hire, manage, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to attract new customers, expand store traffic, enhance profitability, and attain the sales target of the supermarket.
  • Ensure all store policies and procedures are followed.
  • Track sales and performance metrics and analyze the data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and resolve customer complaints effectively.
  • Ensure proper inventory management, including stock levels, audits, and loss prevention. Ensure that the store is properly stocked with products and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Monitor and manage store budgets, expenses, and financial records.
  • Coordinate with the procurement department to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to improve staff performance and engagement.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, financial results, and strategic initiatives to the executive team.
  • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies and sales initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and customers.

Qualifications:

  • A Certification or Degree in business administration, management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a retail management role, preferably in a supermarket.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Proficient in using ERPs and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
