Tax Analyst Intern

The tax intern will support the tax team in various tax-related functions, including tax preparation, research, compliance, and client assistance. This position is ideal for NYSC corps members interested in gaining hands-on experience in tax consulting and compliance.

Location: Lekki Phase 1

Salary: N 80,000

Work mode: Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days WFH)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing individual and corporate tax returns.
• Conduct research on tax laws, regulations, and updates.
• Support tax consultants in client meetings and correspondence.
• Maintain and organize tax-related documentation and reports.
• Assist in processing tax payments and ensuring compliance with deadlines.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights on tax liabilities.
• Participate in training sessions and professional development activities.
• Perform other administrative and support tasks as required.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of tax laws and accounting principles.
• Proximity to Lekki Phase 1 or ability to reliably commute is mandatory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
