Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

We are seeking an experienced, visionary, and strategic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology and product development efforts. The CTO will be responsible for driving technological innovation, overseeing IT infrastructure, and aligning technology initiatives with the overall business strategy.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the companys business goals and growth plans.
• Build and lead a high-performing technology team; promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
• Identify emerging technology trends and determine how they can be leveraged to achieve business success.
• Oversee all aspects of product design, development, testing, and deployment to ensure timely and high-quality releases.
• Ensure that the companys technology infrastructure is reliable, secure, and scalable to support operations and expansion.
• Work closely with other executive leaders to align technology initiatives with business priorities.
• Implement and monitor cybersecurity strategies to protect company assets, data, and customer information.
• Evaluate and manage relationships with external technology partners, vendors, and service providers.
• Develop and manage the technology departments budget and make cost-effective technology investments.
Ensure all systems and technologies comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. MBA is a plus.
• Proven experience of 3-5 in a senior technology leadership role, ideally as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or similar.
• Strong technical knowledge in software development, infrastructure, security, and emerging technologies (AI, cloud computing, blockchain, etc.).
• Experience scaling technology for growth in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead large technical teams.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with regulatory environments related to technology and data privacy (e.g., GDPR, POPIA).
