CLASSROOM TEACHER

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR TEACHERS

• Ensure use of proper Language DURING teaching and class discussion (conscious use of thinking verbs)
• Ensure that activities used for teaching promote critical thinking.
• Ensure team work and collaboration during activities (this is checked in the class)
• Take care of pupils and take responsibility for the children under your care as well as their belongings.
• Manage time effectively.
• Prepare instructional material in line with the content for proper lesson delivery.
• Ensure correction of each class work and homework is done effectively
• Follow daily timetable and finish the scheduled subjects/activities for the day.
• Engage and be present for weekly preview. (You must arrive on time for the preview).
• Attend school scheduled meetings, training, fellowships and parents praise
• Classroom control and management.
• Control/ conduct remedial/ intervention classes for struggling children and work towards delivering them.
• Prepare visuals in line with the content at the beginning of every term
• Maintain a neat conducive and safe classroom environment.
• Ensure safety of pupils in the classroom, at the playground and within the school environment.
• Prepare pupils homework and mark them upon submission
• Uphold the schools culture and peoples manner at all times
• Groom pupils for presentations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₦70,000.00 - ₦120,000.00 per month
