The Design Engineer is responsible for designing and optimizing solar PV systems for commercial and industrial (C&I) clients. This role involves conducting site assessments, performing energy yield analysis, creating detailed electrical and structural designs, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Perform site evaluations and shade analysis using tools like PVsyst and Helioscope
- Design PV system layouts, including electrical schematics, mounting structures, and interconnection plans.
- Conduct energy production modeling and financial feasibility studies.
- Ensure designs meet local codes, utility requirements, and client specifications.
- Prepare technical documentation, bills of materials (BOM), and permit drawings.
- Support procurement and construction teams with design clarifications. Stay updated on best practices and industry trends (battery storage, hybrid systems, smart inverters).
Requirements:
