Job Summary

• The Junior Accountant will assist the Head of Accounting in managing the companys financial records, preparing financial statements, and performing various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in accounting, be eager to learn, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Key Responsibilities
• Assist in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank statements and credit card statements
• Assist in preparing and submitting tax returns, including VAT and PAYE
• Provide support in auditing and financial reporting
• Perform other accounting tasks as assigned by the Head of Accounting

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field
• 2-3 years of experience in accounting
• Professional certification in accounting (e.g. ACA) is an added advantage
• Proficient in accounting software, including Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to learn and take direction from the Head of Accounting
