Job Title: Production Manager (or Supervisor)

Job Summary

The Production Manager (or Supervisor) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the daily operations of hair and skin care product manufacturing. This role ensures production targets are achieved efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory and quality standards such as GMP, ISO, and NAFDAC. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in cosmetic or pharmaceutical production and demonstrate effective leadership and operational management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Oversight: Supervise daily manufacturing operations, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products in accordance with product standard formulation sheets and the production schedule.
• Team Management: Lead, coach, and motivate production staff, including managing training, shift scheduling, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.
• Quality Control: Collaborate closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure product consistency and compliance with quality standards.
• Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, hygiene, and environmental standards, as well as GMP, ISO, and other regulatory requirements.
• Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflow, increase efficiency, reduce waste, and control production costs.
• Inventory & Materials: Work with the supply chain and logistics teams to manage raw material inventories, ensuring timely replenishment for uninterrupted production.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete production records, batch reports, and logs in compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure production equipment is maintained and calibrated regularly, and promptly report any malfunctions or required repairs.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and sales departments to align production activities with new product development and market needs.
• Strategic Support: Assist in generating reports, budget planning, production scheduling, and making data-driven manufacturing decisions based on sales trends and industry knowledge.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or a related field (preferred).
• 5-10 years of experience in a production management or supervisory role within the cosmetic or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, ISO 22716, and relevant industry regulations.
• Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in ERP systems, production planning tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₦300,000.00 - ₦500,000.00 per month
