Design by Daisy are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, budget management, contract administration, and ensuring project financial control. This role requires a strong understanding of materials, procurement, and cost analysis within the interior design sector.

Minimum Qualification: Bachelor Degree in related field of study. Additional professional certifications would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for interior design projects.
• Conduct cost analysis and feasibility studies for new and ongoing projects.
• Collaborate with designers, contractors, and suppliers to obtain cost-effective solutions.
• Monitor project expenditures and ensure they align with the allocated budget.
• Prepare and review contracts, variations, and change orders.
• Perform site visits to assess progress and validate work completed against financial reports.
• Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to optimize project costs.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, contractual obligations, and company policies.
• Assist in procurement processes and supplier evaluations.
• Maintain accurate records of financial documentation and cost control measures.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in an interior design or fit-out firm.
• Strong understanding of cost management, contract administration, and procurement processes.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of local building regulations and construction contracts.
