Position Overview

The Sales and Account Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing client relationships, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional logistics services. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, maintaining strong client partnerships, and collaborating with internal teams to meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth by acquiring new clients, expanding services with existing clients, and maximising sales opportunities within targeted industries such as manufacturing, FMCG, and agriculture.
  • Cultivate and develop a strong portfolio of high-value clients, focusing on long-term relationships and retention.
  • Establish and nurture lasting partnerships with key clients, ensuring their logistics needs are understood and consistently met.
  • Regularly engage with clients to ensure high satisfaction levels, resolve concerns, and improve service delivery.
  • Become the go-to person for key accounts, leveraging your relationship-building skills to grow and manage the portfolio effectively.
  • Oversee the entire account lifecycle for your portfolio, ensuring timely, high-quality service delivery and identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless operations, from customer onboarding to ongoing service provision.
  • Contribute to the overall business strategy and vision, collaborating with the CEO and leadership team to help drive the companys long-term growth.
  • Monitor the logistics market and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Provide strategic insights on market conditions, customer behaviour, and emerging trends that can help shape the companys approach to growth.
  • Report regularly on sales activities, account status, and market developments to ensure alignment with the companys overall strategy and goals.
Develop and implement account strategies to achieve sales targets, optimise account profitability, and enhance client satisfaction.

Qualification

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in sales and account management, with a proven track record in business development and client relationship management, ideally in logistics or a related industry.
  • Excellent client management skills, with a focus on building long-term partnerships and delivering value.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyse market trends and customer needs, and develop strategies to address them.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (experience with logistics software is a plus).
  • A proactive, results-oriented mindset, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • A self-starter with a strong entrepreneurial drive and passion for growth.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
