Role Overview:

We’re seeking an AI Programmer with at least4 yearsof experience to join us onsite in Lagos Mainland. You’ll build, optimize, and deploy AI/ML systems that not only solve business problems but also contribute to our mission of empowering communities through tech. Your work will help Marmac Africa reinforce its reputation for impactful solutions and for raising the bar in tech skills locally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, test, and deploy AI/ML models for production.
• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and engineers to turn requirements into robust, scalable AI-enabled features.
• Ensure model performance, efficiency, and maintainability.
• Maintain clean, well-documented, tested code; engage in code reviews; debug issues.
• Stay on top of AI/ML advances, propose innovations or improvements.
• Share knowledge and best practices with the team and contribute to skills development initiatives where needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, ML, or related field.
• At least 4 years of relevant hands-on experience in AI programming, with real projects you can show (GitHub, deployed applications, case studies).
• Strong proficiency in Python and major ML frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, software engineering best practices.
• Experience handling large datasets, deploying models (cloud or on-premise).
• Good communication skills, ability to explain technical concepts clearly; ability to work well in a team.
