Job Description/Requirements

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated French Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for teaching, a deep understanding of the French language and culture, and the ability to inspire students of all proficiency levels.

Responsibilities

  • Must have excellent internet and light [power] alternative
  • Deliver engaging French lessons to students (beginner to advanced levels).
  • Use innovative and interactive teaching methods to develop students speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
  • Design lesson plans tailored to the needs and goals of each student or group.
  • Incorporate cultural elements into lessons to enhance students understanding of Francophone traditions and lifestyle.
  • Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, and evaluations, providing constructive feedback.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and growth.
  • Stay updated with teaching methodologies and integrate technology into the classroom as needed.
    • Participate in school events, meetings, and training sessions as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in French, Education, Linguistics, or a related field. A masters degree is a plus.
  • Fluency in French (native or near-native proficiency) and English.
  • Prior teaching experience (classroom, online, or one-on-one tutoring).
  • Strong understanding of French grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using educational tools and technology (e.g., LMS, virtual classrooms, language apps, multimedia resources).
    • Certification in French as a second language (e.g., DELF, DALF, TCF, TEF) is an asset.

Work Hours

Monday - Friday : 5:30pm - 4:30am WAT.
