Mathematics Educator

Job Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Secondary School Mathematics Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching Mathematics at the WAEC and IGCSE levels, preparing students for exams, and inspiring a love of the subject.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver engaging and interactive Mathematics lessons in line with WAEC and IGCSE curriculum requirements.

- Prepare and assess students for both WAEC and IGCSE examinations, ensuring they achieve high standards.

- Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessment strategies to track and promote student progress.

- Provide individual support to students, identifying learning needs and adapting instruction accordingly.

- Manage the classroom environment to maintain discipline and foster a positive learning atmosphere.

- Participate in extracurricular activities, including math clubs, competitions, and academic workshops.

- Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum development and school initiatives.

- Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field (Masters degree is an added advantage).

- Teaching certification or license, with a strong understanding of both WAEC and IGCSE Mathematics syllabi.

- At least 3-5 years of teaching experience at the secondary school level.

- Proven track record of preparing students for WAEC and IGCSE Mathematics examinations with excellent results.

- Proficiency in the use of technology to enhance learning.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students.

- Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
