Upper Primary School Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Upper Primary School Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons across core subjects English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies to students in Primary 4 to Primary 6. You will be expected to plan lessons, manage classroom activities, assess student progress, and contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment. The role also includes regular collaboration with fellow teachers and open communication with parents to support the academic and personal growth of each student.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver detailed lesson plans aligned with curriculum objectives.
• Teach core subjects including English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
• Monitor and evaluate student performance through tests, assignments, and continuous assessment.
• Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Maintain discipline and manage classroom behavior effectively.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians on student progress and concerns.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development sessions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan school events, activities, and academic projects.
Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and curiosity in students.

Requirements:

• NCE, B.Ed., or BSc in Education or related field.
• Minimum of 1-year of teaching experience in a structured school environment.
• Strong knowledge of upper primary curriculum and pedagogy
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Passion for teaching and nurturing young learners
• Tech-savvy and open to using digital tools in teaching
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
