Job Description: Supply Chain Officer (Warehouse & Inventory)

Location: Lagos Mainland

Reports To: Head of Finance

Job Summary:

The Supply Chain Officer (Warehouse & Inventory) is responsible for overseeing inventory management, optimizing warehouse operations, and ensuring seamless supply chain processes. The role requires a smart and dynamic individual with experience managing large SKUs across multiple product lines. The ideal candidate must be data-driven, leveraging analytics for decision-making to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management & Optimization

• Develop and implement inventory control strategies to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Oversee stock movements, inventory accuracy, and ensure reconciliation of physical stock with system records.
• Minimize inventory losses, excess stock, and stockouts through proactive planning.
• Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and identify variances.

2. Warehouse Operations & Efficiency

• Manage multiple warehouses and storage facilities, ensuring proper product handling and storage.
• Optimize warehouse layout for efficient space utilization and quick order fulfillment.
• Implement industry best practices in warehouse management, including safety and compliance.
• Work with Head of Logistics to ensure timely and accurate dispatch of goods (Internal | External) to meet business and customer demands.

3. Data-Driven Decision Making

• Utilize data analytics and inventory management systems (ERP, WMS) to track stock performance.
• Generate reports on inventory turnover, demand forecasting, and replenishment strategies.
• Provide insights for procurement planning and supplier negotiations.

4. Supply Chain Coordination & Vendor Management

• Collaborate with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to align supply chain strategies.
• Work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve supply chain disruptions.
• Optimize reorder points and lead times to enhance efficiency.

5. Process Improvement & Cost Control

• Identify inefficiencies in the supply chain and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Automate warehouse processes where possible to enhance speed and accuracy.
• Monitor operational costs and drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining service levels.

6. Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop the warehouse and inventory management team.
• Implement performance metrics and ensure accountability across warehouse staff.
• Foster a culture of operational excellence and high productivity.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in warehouse and inventory management, preferably handling large SKU volumes across multiple product lines.
• Strong expertise in inventory management systems (ERP Next, SAP, Oracle, WMS, or similar ERP systems).
• Proven ability to use data analytics for decision-making and process optimization.
• Experience in warehouse automation and process improvement strategies.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Remuneration: N 4, 200, 000: 00 Annual gross
